Cakes, Cars and Magazines • Summer Holiday Project 2016 #23

Today has been a really lovely day, we staryed off with a late start again 7:25am which is just crazy. My body is living the extra sleep but I am so unsure why she is sleeping so well, not that I am moaning.

About 9:30 I decided that it was time to get on with the day so we made some more chocolate cornflake cakes and this batch was certainly better than the first. They are ridiculously cheap and easy to make and they go down a treat.

After Lilly made a caf in our hall out of her two car seats, her dolls car seat and a camp chair. She pretended that her car had the same issue with mine and pretended to fix it, such a Daddy's girl.

Just after Lil's lunch Liam picked us up to get the part form my car but sadly they didn't have any in store. So we headed off to MacDonald's for mine and Liam's lunch. I have a wrap of the day and Liam had two 99p cheese burgers, as Lil's had had her lunch we got her a Oreo Mcflurry.


We headed off to Nanny's for a bit where Lil's played with her Little Tikes car for a while before Daddy chased her with her bubble mower, she was loving it but sadly ended in tears when she had a tumble. 

Nanny brought us home as Liam has a stripped out car at the moment and only has two seats but once we were home we had some lovely family time. Daddy and Lil's played together while I got her dinner preped. 


Before dinner she had some magazine time which I had promised her this morning. I am so proud of how well Lil's does with these magazines and I can see how far along she has come in such a short space of time.

We bathed and put Lil'd to bed before setting down to a honey glazed gammon roast. My other half helped me by prepping everything during Lil's story time. 

We have had a great day but I am feeling slightly numb tonight :(

Creating My Dream Blogging Space

I have been blogging for two years now and sadly do not have the room to have a separate blogging space bit still imagine what my space would look like, and often get office envy reading other bloggers posts. I love the idea of just being able to sit down at a desk and write with no distractions around me, like my own little hide away in a loft, with me, my camera, my computer and a cup of tea. I would love to have fresh light colours such as a cream or white for the desk as in my opinion it looks a lot cleaner and can brighten the space up. It would also have to have plenty of storage for chargers, note books and the hundreds of pens, pencils and crayons I have acquired since having Lil's.  The desk pictured below is one that I would certainly consider, this is from  Argos  and looks quite modern with a good amount of storage too. Being a carer for my parents

Both my parents have mobility issues and are bithnow in wheelchairs. Since I can remember my Mum has been in a wheelchair due to have a very worn hip joint which she was born with.  When I was in year 9 my Dad's back started to hurt and progressivly got worse to the point where he struggled to get out of bed. I am now classed as a carer to my mum which is important for me, my mum is very stubborn and sometime I have to have a little nag to get her to do things. I don't see my parents in any other way than just my parents, if that makes sense. My Mum is an amazing person who makss me proud every day. Due her lack of mobility she also has other health problems which she can control with tablets and lifestyle changes.  My Dad is still constantly on the go with his veterans and the local carnival which he does every year using his mobility scooter as his base for his structure. He does feel it after he compeltes things but I think it gives him motivation to

BHP Show 2016 • Lydden Hill

The last time I visited the BHP show I was pregnant with Lil's and it was only a one day event. This year I got to take my baby back to see it for herself and enjoy two days there instead, including a COLD night of camping.  The BHP show is (I believe) a yearly event which takes place at Lydden Hill Race Circuit. This is about 1 hour and a half drive from our house so not too far for us to go, Lilly was as good as gold travelling both there and back, but then again she slept the whole way back.  The show wasn't as good as back in 2012 due to the lack of demo's but the Drift Allstars team were amazing and made Lilly scream with joy after a silly 5 minutes of being scared.  On the Sunday we took a look around the pits, that's a big reason why we like Lydden hill is because of the open pits.
