MSC Splendida look back | 11/1/12 | A ride on a camel

The next port was Tunisia. We got woken up just as we were coming into port by the sound of music, it was very surreal. We ordered our breakfast to be brought to our cabin that morning so ate on the balcony. 

On port side there were dancers, camels, a small band and peopke to welcome up. We sat and watched and waved too. As we were not going any further than the port area we took our time with breakfast and getting ready for the day.


Once on port side we were greated by some lovely people who were watching camels. They asked if we wanted to take a ride around the port side, which  of course we said yes too. It was €10 for it but an experience which I will never forget. The ride was awfully bumpy but it was so much fun.



After that we had a look in the shops by the port and brought a couple of goodies and took some pictures to of the local area.

We made our way back to the ship after about half a hour. There was still some dancers outside so we stood and watched them for a while. 

Once back on the ship me and Liam went to our cabin to get ready for a trip to the hot tub in the warm January sun, it was such a strange moment, it felt like I was in some sort of dream.

After that we got some drinks and sat and waited for the other guests to get back to the ship.

It was such a lovely place and wish we had time to explore it more and maybe have taken a coach out of the port area.

The ship took off quite early to get to the next port. So we had a few drinks that night (me on the virgin cocktails) and then explore the ship a little more. Me and Liam had a early night to have energy for the next day.

I have been blogging for two years now and sadly do not have the room to have a separate blogging space bit still imagine what my space would look like, and often get office envy reading other bloggers posts. I love the idea of just being able to sit down at a desk and write with no distractions around me, like my own little hide away in a loft, with me, my camera, my computer and a cup of tea. I would love to have fresh light colours such as a cream or white for the desk as in my opinion it looks a lot cleaner and can brighten the space up. It would also have to have plenty of storage for chargers, note books and the hundreds of pens, pencils and crayons I have acquired since having Lil's.  The desk pictured below is one that I would certainly consider, this is from  Argos  and looks quite modern with a good amount of storage too. Being a carer for my parents

Both my parents have mobility issues and are bithnow in wheelchairs. Since I can remember my Mum has been in a wheelchair due to have a very worn hip joint which she was born with.  When I was in year 9 my Dad's back started to hurt and progressivly got worse to the point where he struggled to get out of bed. I am now classed as a carer to my mum which is important for me, my mum is very stubborn and sometime I have to have a little nag to get her to do things. I don't see my parents in any other way than just my parents, if that makes sense. My Mum is an amazing person who makss me proud every day. Due her lack of mobility she also has other health problems which she can control with tablets and lifestyle changes.  My Dad is still constantly on the go with his veterans and the local carnival which he does every year using his mobility scooter as his base for his structure. He does feel it after he compeltes things but I think it gives him motivation to

BHP Show 2016 • Lydden Hill

The last time I visited the BHP show I was pregnant with Lil's and it was only a one day event. This year I got to take my baby back to see it for herself and enjoy two days there instead, including a COLD night of camping.  The BHP show is (I believe) a yearly event which takes place at Lydden Hill Race Circuit. This is about 1 hour and a half drive from our house so not too far for us to go, Lilly was as good as gold travelling both there and back, but then again she slept the whole way back.  The show wasn't as good as back in 2012 due to the lack of demo's but the Drift Allstars team were amazing and made Lilly scream with joy after a silly 5 minutes of being scared.  On the Sunday we took a look around the pits, that's a big reason why we like Lydden hill is because of the open pits.
