Lydden Hill | King of Drift

To finish our busy weekend we went off to Lydden Hill race track to watch King of Europe drift. It was incredibly hot but we still had a fantastic day and not a but of sunburn in sight. 

It was an early start with us getting up and 5am to gat awake and ready and waking Lilly up a 5:45 to get her ready to go. We left a about 6am and got a couple of bits from the shop to wake us up. 

The night before (after the carnival) I cooked loads of snack bits to take with us such as pizza, sausage rolls and chicken nuggets but they weren't very appealing at 6am lol.

We stopped at MacDonald’s jusy before we got to the race track for a bacon roll and a coffee, Lilly had porridge.

We got there very early so we sat in the car for a while and then took a trip around the pits to look at all the cars competing, This is one of the best things about Lydden Hill is that is usually an open pit.


Lilly got to sit in a drift car which had pink wheels and a pink roll cage, sadly we didn't get a picture of the whole car but Lilly was very lucky to be allowed to. Liam watched her like a hawk.

This is one of my favourite cars, maybe because it's pink lol. But It just looked so good.


The weather just got hotter as the day went on, so Lilly sat in the big fishing chair with a jumper around the fence to block some of the sun out, we did end up resorting to sitting in the car a lot with the windows open so we could keep the sun off us but still see the racing.


The only real good shot I got of the drifting, we were watching more then photographing but we had a fantastic day and Lilly loved it too.

We hope to go back later this month for the BDC which is the British Drift Championship.

I have been blogging for two years now and sadly do not have the room to have a separate blogging space bit still imagine what my space would look like, and often get office envy reading other bloggers posts. I love the idea of just being able to sit down at a desk and write with no distractions around me, like my own little hide away in a loft, with me, my camera, my computer and a cup of tea. I would love to have fresh light colours such as a cream or white for the desk as in my opinion it looks a lot cleaner and can brighten the space up. Being a carer for my parents

Both my parents have mobility issues and are bithnow in wheelchairs. Since I can remember my Mum has been in a wheelchair due to have a very worn hip joint which she was born with.  When I was in year 9 my Dad's back started to hurt and progressivly got worse to the point where he struggled to get out of bed. I am now classed as a carer to my mum which is important for me, my mum is very stubborn and sometime I have to have a little nag to get her to do things. I don't see my parents in any other way than just my parents, if that makes sense. My Mum is an amazing person who makss me proud every day. Due her lack of mobility she also has other health problems which she can control with tablets and lifestyle changes.  My Dad is still constantly on the go with his veterans and the local carnival which he does every year using his mobility scooter as his base for his structure. Birthday Basket for Liam

This time last weej was Liam's 25th birthday, he is incredibly hard to buy for and never knows what he wants at all, so this year I thought that I would do a basket of loads of things that he likes and needs too.  Liam love anything tk do with cars and loves cleaning his cars too so that was my main idea with a couple of added bits to bulk it out. First I went to Halfords to look at all the car cleaning bits, they had a 3 for 2 offer on the whole range. I firstly grabbed the Auto Glym leather cleaner, he has bee going on about this for a while so that was a must, I then looked at the microfibre clothes for him and also so cockpit cleaber too, this is in the scent of New car smell which is one of his go to air freshener scents. Lastly Lilly saw the smily face air freshener which she wanted to get for him.
